Lucic has broken finger, Thomas to start against Phoenix

Milan Lucic will miss tonight's game, as reported earlier. However, now we know why. Lucic has a broken right index finger, suffered in last night's win over Dallas.

As I speculated earlier, Byron Bitz will slide up to the second line with Lefebvre taking the right wing spot on the fourth line. Shawn Thornton moves to the left side on the fourth line.

There is no timetable set for Lucic's return.

As for the question of who will start in goal for Boston, that has been answered as well. Tim Thomas will get the nod between the pipes for the second straight night. Thomas of course is coming off of his best outing of the season, stopping 27 shots and shutting out Dallas.
