Milan Lucic (shoulder), Patrice Bergeron (concussion), and Andrew Ference (tibia) will not play tonight against Washington. Andrew Ference and Patrice Bergeron were both taken off Injured Reserve today. * Tim Thomas will start tonight. This will be Thomas' fourth straight start in goal.
* Matt Lashoff will play his second straight game without a visor. Lashoff said his peripheral vision is slightly better without the shield.
* Aaron Ward has been skating at Ristuccia Arena healing up after aggravating his charley horse injury. Coach Claude Julien said Ward might be available for Monday's matinee against St. Louis.
